  • Director: Brett Morgen
Running time: 2 hours 25 minutes

Filmmaker Brett Morgen uses material from the Cobains' personal archives in an in-depth examination of the Nirvana frontman's childhood, music career and untimely death.

This authorised documentary on the late musician foes from his early days in Aberdeen, Washington to his success and downfall with the iconic grunge band Nirvana.

Combining Kurt Cobain’s chaotic memoirs with artfully animated recreations, Brett Morgan’s Cobain: Montage of Heck is a master class in how to bring archive material to life and takes a fresh approach on the usually chronological and formulaic music documentary.

The screening on Thursday 28 February at 1.30pm will be running without adverts or trailers, therefore the film will start at 1.30pm.
