PAT Testing In Market Harborough, Corby, Kettering, Hinckley, Oadby, Loughborough, Leicestershire

The Electricity at Work Regulations place a legal responsibility on employers, employees and self-employed persons to comply with the provisions of the regulations and take reasonably practicable steps to ensure that no danger results from the use of such equipment. More Info Here.

The easiest way to implement such a system is through PAT or portable appliance testing. The process of testing compromises both visual and electrical checks including Earth Continuity and Insulation tests. Once the testing of the appliance is completed a Green sticker will be placed on the item if it passes or a Red sticker if it fails, if an item fails you will be notified and advised of the problem and if it is economically viable to repair. You will also receive a certificate of testing detailing the items tested with the full test results published.

As appliances need to be disconnected for testing, the process can be carried out either in your place of work or you can arrange to have them sent or collected (at your cost) to a PAT Testing workshop.
