Carer and Registered Disabled Information

Here at CW Entertainment we are able to offer carers and Registered Disabled customers discounted entry for selected tickets

Information and Terms and Conditions for Registered Disabled customers:

Customers who are Registered Disabled can receive a free Carer’s ticket for Welwyn Garden City Cinema, RollerCity, Soft Play City or Live Theatre events. The Box Office will issue a CWE Registered Disabled card to customers who provide appropriate documentation proving their eligibility and the name of their carer.

The card is valid for one year and is renewable.

For the purposes of this transaction, eligibility for Registered Disabled status applies to customers with:

  • Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
  • Attendance Allowance (AA)
  • Blind Persons Registration
  • Personal Independence Payment (PIP); and
  • Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)
  • We also accept CEA and HAND cards

Each Registered Disabled customer is allowed only ONE free ticket for the person accompanying them to the event. The Registered Disabled person must purchase a full price ticket for themselves to obtain the free carer ticket.

However a corresponding number of free care tickets (per child) will be issued to patrons who present more than one HAND card for each child.

The free carer ticket is provided on the assumption that the person who accompanies the purchaser is able to provide them with appropriate assistance. For example, this might include:

  • Assisting them in moving around the cinema including finding and taking a seat
  • Helping them to evacuate the cinema in the event of an emergency
  • Accompanying and/or assisting them in using the cinema’s toilets
  • Assisting them in purchasing refreshments

Tickets for the carer must be processed in the same transaction as the ticket for the accompanied person and be for the same event.

Customers who use a wheelchair do not need to provide proof of Registered Disabled status or a Registered Disabled card. A complimentary ticket will be automatically issued to wheelchair user with a companion. All wheelchair tickets purchases are processed through the Box Office and not online.

Where it is suspected that tickets are being obtained inappropriately, fraudulently or in breach of these terms and conditions, the management of CW Entertainment reserves the right to refuse the free ticket pending further investigation. The management of C W Entertainment also reserves the right to review or update the eligibility criteria for this offer at any time.
